Geckeler Michels

BNW Projects: BNW Salon
BNW Events: Lizbon in Zurich

Berlin-based design duo formed by David Geckeler (Berlin, 1984) and Frank Michels (Luxembourg, 1984). Both designers met during their studies and founded their studio in 2013. Since the beginning, the duo is working on designs in the field of furniture, tableware, lighting and accessories. GECKELER MICHELS’ eclectic style matrix ranges from german design roots, Berlin playfulness and a self-evident awareness for a global style in design aesthetics. Conceptual approaches are being combined with functionalist purity and simplicity in order to form everyday life objects with long lasting quality and appeal.

Oyster is a stool and occasional side table made of solid ash. The tripod design reveals a graphic quality and is rich in wood working details. The eccentrically designed stool gets a clear direction through its off-cut in its circular seat and the remarkable T-shaped leg construction making it a versatile stool for your everyday life.
