The Deputy Minister said: “Creative industries are based on people's creativity and intelligence, which are used at the intersection of culture, business and management. The Creative Business Forum is a unique platform for dialogue and the search for effective solutions that will allow our cultural figures and creative entrepreneurs to become successful and in demand not only in Russia, but also abroad."

Elena Marinina, Director of the Creative Business Forum, told reporters about the concept and main events of the Forum, the theme of which this year is “Creative Economy in a New Reality”. The key event will be the plenary session “What is Russia coming up with now?”, Where the participants will discuss how to create a creative ecosystem in such a way that Russian projects are competitors and are in demand in the international arena. The participants in the discussion were Sergei Novikov, Head of the Presidential Administration for Public Projects, Olga Yarilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Chupsheva, ASI Director General, and others. The discus-sion was moderated by Tina Kandelaki, general producer of Match TV.

Gulnaz Kadyrova noted in her address that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is responsible for areas of the creative economy based on production competencies, including the artistic industry, the musical instrument industry, folk arts and crafts, fashion, design, etc. The place factor plays an important role in the development of creative industries. Therefore, the ministry plans to develop not only creative business projects, but also places of their traditional existence: creative cities, craft settlements, historical manufactories and creative quarters in cities. We are on the verge of a new industrial policy in Russia, and it will be based on the creative economy. Today we create a large number of meanings, but they do not transform into real successful products and services. In order to talk about real success, the cycle from the creation of an idea to its implementation must be with o be doubled, or even more times."

Director and artistic director of the Malaya Bronnaya Theater Konstantin Bogomolov, who will take part in the session "Supporting young talents - the basis for the future of the creative economy" spoke about the need to create a unified ecosystem or special mechanisms that will allow young talents or representatives of creative industries to interact with business for the implementation of joint projects.

One of the key discussions of the Creative Business Forum business program will be a session supported by the Association of Galleries “World art capitals: what is lacking in Russian megacities to obtain such a status?”. Commenting on her participation in it, the founder of the VINZA-VOD Center for Contemporary Art Sofya Trotsenko explained: “When we say art in the form of creative industries, in fact we are talking about the art market, where art is its content. During the pandemic, we managed to unite the leading galleries into the Association and now they are not isolated participants in the art mar-ket, but a single organization that defends and develops the interests of all participants. In developed countries, the art industry is a creative industry with a large turnover, ranging from art fairs and galleries, which become points of attraction for the city, to, of course, art clusters where artists and all creative businesses work. "

In his online presentation, Aric Chen, Chief Curator of Design Miami, said that the Creative Business Forum, given its connection with the global creative community, is extremely important to stimulate the development of the creative sector.

The Forum received wide support from the international creative industry. The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has included the Creative Business Forum in the roadmap of leading international events in the International Year of the Creative Economy for Sustainable Development, announced by the United Nations in 2021.
